How much are the park fees in Tanzania?

The Tanzania National Parks are overseen by TANAPA. The management of Lake Natron and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is handled below.

  • Gombe Stream- $118
  • Mahale- $ 94.40
  • Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) – $82.60
  • Arusha, Tarangire and Lake Manyara – $ 59
  • Mikumi, Ruaha, Rubondo Island, Saadani, Mkomazi, Udzungwa Mountains, Katavi – $35.40

Children under the age of five are free.

Children aged 5 to 15 must pay a $15–$20 entry charge to the protected area.

Prices are shown per person and include VAT, multiple entries, up to 12 hours with a day pass, or 24 hours if you spend the night inside the park (with the exception of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area).

Hotel concession rates in TANAPA

There is also a hotel concession charge that you must pay if you are staying in a lodge within one of the TANAPA national parks. Ask your lodge if the concession fee is already included in the price they quoted you or if you are responsible for covering it. The majority of hotels will take care of this for you and charge you for the concession fee.

Additional TANAPA fees

The daily vehicle entry charge for your locally registered Roadtrip Tanzania rental car is 41,300 TSH ($20) per day for the Landcruiser and 23,600 TSH ($10) for the RAV4.
camping costs The nightly rate for TANAPA-managed public campsites is $35.40 per person. The cost for a special campground is $59 per person/night. The camping charge for youngsters aged 5 to 15 is $11.80. Children under the age of five are free.
