PTE Eligibility doesn’t include any specific criteria to apply for the exam as defined by the Pearson VUE-the conducting body of PTE. However, the candidates must provide correct information like age, grades, parental consent if the candidate is below 18 years of age. Generally, there are no limits on how many times one can sit the PTE test.
But, there are some rules which need to be followed. For instance, applicants cannot book more than one date at a time. So in case you booked a date for May, to be on the safe side, you cannot book another for your plan B as a back-up date in June. You need to sit the first test and receive your test score to be able to book for another.
The other rule is that while you are awaiting your PTE score report which usually takes 2 hours to 7 days, you cannot book another date for sitting the PTE test. This is again in line with the first rule that candidates cannot book two dates at the same time.
Eligibility Score
PTE Exam Eligibility doesn’t have any minimum score for the PTE exam. However, from the total range of 10-90, a score of 50-63 is considered competent. For better and standard university options, it is expected to score in the range of 65-75 or above. But PTE maximum scores are required for admission in top universities. Aspirants need to qualify these tests in order to pursue their career in study abroad for candidats belonging from India or any other country where English is not the native language.
