We are looking for an Events and Marketing Specialist to join us who will be responsible for leading on events (and content creation for events), while working closely and coordinating with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers.

Events and Marketing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Freshwave’s presence (attendance and/or sponsorship) at events on time, within budget and to the required standard – ensuring the brand values are met.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders to support the success and strategic aims of the event and/or brand.
  • Lead on formation and delivery of Freshwave funded events (i.e. webinars, lunch and learns, breakfast briefings, including instances where these are co-sponsored by a partner or supplier).
  • Create and coordinate event collateral including stand, takeaway materials, branded giveaways (i.e. propose ideas, agree budget and coordinate suppliers).
  • Coordinate and write on-brand and engaging presentations for speakers aligned with audience expectations for each event.
  • Negotiate, manage and maintain excellent professional relationships with existing and potential event organisations.
  • Work with marketing colleagues to promote event attendance and/or sponsorship via social media channels (LinkedIn and Twitter).
  • Track event related costs and partner with Head of Campaigns and Marketing to review overall spend and report on event success.
  • Take an active role in identifying new event opportunities for each sales team focusing on partner and product promotion opportunities.
  • Stand as a brand guardian, ensuring the brand is represented correctly and consistently at events.

Requirements

  • 3 years+ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the telecoms market or UK public sector would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Able to work on both long-term planning of content for events alongside short-term reactive content/presentations.
  • Some experience in writing social posts and using channels to promote event/brand presence (LinkedIn and Twitter).
  • Able to hit the ground running with a go-getter attitude.
  • Forensic attention to detail.
  • Strong copywriter with the ability to adapt style if needed for brand purposes.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills essential.
