It is amazing clean beach . Best restaurants. Water was very clean and warm . Truly idyllic. The sand was also very soft, and the water temperature perfect.

The scenery would have been nice and the location close to downtown is attractive. Looking at older pictures it seems as if the place had deteriorated with the construction of the new highway along the beach. They must have cut down all the palm trees in the process.
Now, it’s a long stretch of sand with no shade, rubbish, milky waters for obscure reasons and a line of local vendors and very modest beach bars. There is good place for showers. 

This beach is really quite lovely for a beach so close to downtown. There are several “hut” restaurants.

There is a reason why this is the most popular beach in Tanzania . This us the perfect place to relax and just stare at the mesmerizing never ending Indian ocean .
