Arts and Culture Trust Australia vacancies; The Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) was established on 1 July 2022, replacing the Perth Theatre Trust (PTT).

ACT’s mission is to offer wide-ranging arts experiences in well-managed venues.

The Trust’s venues are used by local, national, and international performing arts companies, performers, and artists, both professional and amateur. School and children’s performances and activities are also presented at these venues.

Funded arts organisations presenting regular seasons in Trust venues include the Barking Gecko Theatre Company, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company, West Australian Ballet, and West Australian Opera, as well as the Perth International Arts Festival.

The Trust supports the presentation or co-production of some events in its theatres.

  • Subiaco Arts Centre
  • The State Theatre Centre of Western Australia
  • The Albany Entertainment Centre
  • Perth Cultural Centre

Position Title

Human Resource Manager.

Purpose of the position

Leads and develops people and culture strategies, projects, and initiatives in line with the Arts and Culture Trust’s (ACT) corporate objectives.  Partners with staff to build effective employee and culture through facilitating effective recruitment, retention, and employee strategies.

The Recruitment Process

We are seeking a suitably qualified/experienced person to fill the position of Manager Human Resources. This permanent role is full time; however, ACT would consider a job share arrangement for the right applicant/s.

There is currently one permanent full-time position available for immediate filling from the pool.

This is a pool recruitment process for appointment for fixed term, full time, part-time and casual vacancies with a possibility of extension and/or permanency. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made as vacancies arise over the next twelve (24) months.

Applicants found suitable for this recruitment pool may also be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within ACT and/or the wider public sector which arise prior to the pool’s closing date. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process for fixed term, full time, part-time and casual vacancies with a possibility of extension and/or permanency.

A current satisfactory (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.

To be eligible to apply for appointment to permanent positions in the Western Australian Public Sector, you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

For temporary (fixed term or casual) positions, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Location

This role is based at 89 St. Georges Tce Perth, however may work from other ACT venues if required.
